Marija Grahovac, MD, FACOG
Board-certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist
Languages Spoken:Dr. Marija Grahovac is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist with over 20 years of clinical experience. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Michigan Dearborn, Master of Science in Biology from Wayne State University, and her medical degree from Wayne State University. She went on to complete her residency at Oakwood Hospital, now Corewell Health East Dearborn Hospital.
Following residency, Dr. Grahovac joined her father’s bustling private practice serving the Dearborn and Downriver areas. Since her father’s retirement, Dr. Grahovac is growing her practice with the addition of 2 new partners, and a CNM/DNP as part of her team. Dr. Grahovac practices full-scope Obstetrics and Gynecology in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. Dr. Grahovac’s involvement in resident education has spanned assisting with resident candidate interviews, to planning the didactics curriculum, as well as daily teaching and instruction through patient care.
Dedicated to her community, Dr. Grahovac has also served in various leadership roles in the pursuit of a better healthcare experience for all. These positions have included Medical Executive Committee delegate, Chief of the Ob/Gyn Department, Vice Chief of the Medical Staff, and a seat on the Board of Directors of Corewell Health East, as well as various committee appointments. Fluent in Croatian, and conversational French, Dr. Grahovac enjoys travel, concerts, running races, and time spent with family and good friends. Dr. Grahovac enjoys advocating for and empowering women to pursue optimal health and happiness throughout the stages of their life, and welcomes all women to the practice.

Al Lore, MD, FACOG
Board-certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist
AboutDr. Al Lore, MD, FACOG is a board-certified OB/GYN at Legacy OBGYN in Allen Park, Michigan, known for combining advanced surgical expertise with a highly personalized, patient-first approach to care.
Dr. Lore earned his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine and completed his residency at Corewell Health Dearborn where he received multiple awards for academic excellence, including recognition in Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
His clinical interests include high-risk obstetrics and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, with extensive experience in robotic procedures such as hysterectomy, myomectomy, and endometriosis treatment. He also has a strong focus on menopause and hormone therapy, helping patients feel informed, supported, and confident through every stage of life. Dr. Lore is especially passionate about providing inclusive care, with a dedicated interest in LGBTQIA+ health and gender-affirming medicine.
Patients often appreciate Dr. Lore’s balance of precision and approachability—he is highly detail-oriented, yet warm, friendly, and easy to talk to. He approaches every patient as an individual, taking the time to listen, understand their goals, and create a care plan that truly fits their life. Originally from Long Island, New York, Dr. Lore attended St. Bonaventure University for his undergraduate studies. Outside of the office, he enjoys traveling, building LEGO collections, gaming, and discovering new places to shop.

Madhura Mahapatra, MD

Dr. Madhura Mahapatra is a board-eligible obstetrician-gynecologist and the newest addition to Legacy OBGYN. A first-generation Indian American and Chicago native, she is passionate about serving the diverse communities of Southeast Michigan with compassionate, inclusive care.
Dr. Mahapatra earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Loyola University Chicago and her Doctor of Medicine from the American University of the Caribbean in Sint Maarten. She completed her residency training at Corewell Health Dearborn (formerly Oakwood), where she was recognized as Intern of the Year and served as Administrative Chief Resident in her final year. During her training, she received multiple honors, including the Gynecologic Oncology Resident Award and the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Award. She has also contributed to published research and presented at the national level, including at ASCCP.
Dr. Mahapatra provides comprehensive care across all stages of life, with clinical interests in adolescent contraceptive counseling and education, menopausal management, and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, including myomectomy, hysterectomy, and endometriosis treatment. Fluent in Oriya and conversational in Spanish, Hindi, and Marathi, she is committed to delivering culturally competent, patient-centered care. She welcomes patients of all backgrounds and identities and is dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive environment.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Mahapatra enjoys traveling, exploring new cuisines, and staying active through Pilates as a dedicated Solidcore enthusiast. She and her husband are excited to put down roots in Michigan and become part of the local community.

Laura Mills, DNP, CNM, IBCLC
Doctor of Nursing Practice, Certified Nurse Midwife and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant
AboutDr. Laura Mills is a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with more than 20 years of experience in maternal and infant care. After spending eight years as a Labor and Delivery nurse, she earned her Master’s in Nursing from Wayne State University in 2013, marking the start of her journey into full-time midwifery care. Dr. Mills also currently works as a provider at Corewell Health Dearborn, where she has been contributing to women’s health for over a decade.
In addition to her primary role, she has over 9 years of experience in outpatient care, including more than 5 years at Legacy Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her pursuit of advanced education culminated in earning a Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) from Eastern Michigan University in 2021, reinforcing her expertise in providing high-quality, evidence-based care.
Dr. Mills blends her extensive training in both nursing and midwifery to offer a holistic approach to prenatal, labor, and postpartum care. She emphasizes informed decision-making and emotional support, aiming to empower women to take an active role in their healthcare. In 2022, she further expanded her knowledge by becoming an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), a credential that strengthens her ability to support new mothers through the challenges of breastfeeding. In addition to being a healthcare professional, she is a dedicated educator and American Red Cross instructor who provides CPR and choking courses, labor preparation classes, and breastfeeding education.
A proud U.S. Navy veteran, Dr. Mills brings the same commitment to service she developed in the military to her work in healthcare and family life. She resides in the Downriver area with her husband and sons, where they share their home with two dogs and a flock of chickens. Outside of her professional work, Dr. Mills is deeply passionate about empowering women at all stages of their health and motherhood journey—from pregnancy to breastfeeding and beyond.
