The legacy of our practice began in the 1970s with Dr. Jure Grahovac. Coming from humble beginnings, his hard work and dedication led him to graduate from the University of Zagreb School of Medicine before coming to Dearborn to complete his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Oakwood Hospital.

In 1977, Dr. Grahovac joined the practice of Dr. George Malcolm Morley, and together they built one of the largest OB/GYN practices in Wayne County. Throughout his career, Dr. Grahovac became known not only for his medical expertise, but also for the compassion, kindness, and personal attention he gave to every patient he cared for.

After Dr. Morley’s retirement in the 1990s, Dr. Grahovac continued practicing independently and was later overjoyed when his daughter, Dr. Marija Grahovac, chose to follow in his footsteps and pursue a career in Obstetrics and Gynecology. In 2007, she joined the practice, creating a true family practice rooted in trust, compassion, and continuity of care. Many patients found it especially meaningful to be cared for by both father and daughter through different stages of their lives.

Over the decades, Dr. Jure Grahovac has had the privilege of caring for thousands of women and families, mentoring future physicians, and building lifelong relationships within the community. Today, his legacy lives on through our practice’s continued commitment to treating every patient with expertise, respect, compassion, and the personalized care they deserve.
